The Cyber Innovation Hub of the Bundeswehr (CIHBw) supports the digital transformation of the Bundeswehr and builds a bridge between the Bundeswehr and the startup ecosystem. As the Bundeswehr's digital innovation unit, the CIHBw is based on the model of comparable innovation units in the private sector and other armed forces, e.g. in the USA and Israel. It is the first military digital innovation unit in Europe and the model for comparable units in other German federal ministries and authorities. The Cyber Innovation Hub of the Bundeswehr (CIHBw) stands for the entire range of digital innovations: whether a VR flight simulator for the German Air Force, an app for rail travel in uniform or an online video consultation for the Bundeswehr hospital. Cybersecurity is part of our portfolio, but is not a focus.
