From Bundeswehr intrapreneur to successful start-up

Marc Wietfeld is one of the first Bundeswehr intrapreneurs of the Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub and is successful with his start-up ARX Landsysteme.

The ARX Landsysteme team received an investment in the pre-seed phase from venture capitalist Project A Ventures this week. ARX Landsysteme founder and CEO Marc Wietfeld is one of our first Bundeswehr intrapreneurs and has been working with the Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub since 2019. As a pioneer within the Bundeswehr, he has shown that with the right mix of vision, determination and teamwork, impressive technological advances can be achieved.

Investment in dual-use technology

Their Munich-based start-up ARX Landsysteme, which specializes in the development of dual-use robots for use in war and crisis zones, is currently causing a stir in the innovation landscape in Germany. Venture capitalist Project A Ventures invested 1.15 million euros in the company in a pre-seed. The robots from ARX Landsysteme are characterized by their versatility. They can be used in both disaster control and military applications and provide support to both civilian first responders and soldiers.

New players in the security industry

The investment by Project A Ventures shows that the security and defense industry in Europe and the Bundeswehr's procurement system must adapt to new players on the market. Innovative and agile start-ups such as ARX Landsysteme help to protect our democratic values and support both military and civilian forces in their missions. By implementing innovative technologies, armed forces can achieve their goals more safely and efficiently. The Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub supports Marc Wietfeld's commitment to peace and security through technological innovation.
