Laboratory for artificial intelligence

The Bundeswehr AI Laboratory makes our soldiers aware of the technologies of the future and teaches them digital competences.

The machine-based evaluation of radio communication and the intelligent calculation of flight routes are only two examples of the innovative work that happens at the Bundeswehr AI Laboratory.

This is where the 912th Electronic Warfare Battalion, based in Nienburg an der Weser, trains its soldiers in digital skills, such as application and database management. It also raises their awareness of potential future technologies and the current state of innovation. These skills are highly useful for modern defence projects.

‘We kill quite a few birds with one stone at our laboratory’, Lieutenant Colonel Sascha Mies, the commander of the task force, commented.
