MSC Innovation Night

The Munich Security Conference is the most important informal conference on international security policy. Together with the Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub, its organisers have established a new tradition: the MSC Innovation Night. Held on the eve of the main conference, it brings security policy-makers together with the start-up scene and digital economy.

In 2019, Siemens joined the MSC Innovation Night as a second partner. The past two MSC Innovation Nights were attended by more than 300 guests at the Siemens headquarters in Munich.

‘Digital transformation and innovation are a matter of combat readiness and effectiveness for the Bundeswehr’, Federal Minister of Defence Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer said at the third MSC Innovation Night in February 2020. ‘Not innovating is not an option.’ The German armed forces constantly forge new paths, and the Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub, based on a model developed by the US Army, is one of them.
