The Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub supports the digital transformation of the Bundeswehr. It builds a bridge between the armed forces and the start-up ecosystem. As the digital-innovation unit of the Bundeswehr, the Cyber Innovation Hub is based on the model of similar innovation units in private businesses and other armed forces, such as those of the United States and Israel. It is Europe’s first military unit focusing on digital innovation, and various German federal ministries and public authorities have modelled their own innovation units after it. You can find out more about our work on the About Us page.

The Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub embraces the full bandwidth of digital innovation: from a VR flight simulator for the Air Force to an app facilitating free rail travel for soldiers in uniform and an online appointment system for the Bundeswehr hospitals. Cybersecurity is a equally weighted part of our portfolio.
